Philadelphia, PA (April 27, 2015) – Energy Management Collaborative (EMC) is showcasing its success delivering energy and cost savings to retailers at the 2015 Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association (PRSM) National Conference, Booth 852. For more than a decade, the turnkey lighting solutions and service provider has successfully implemented lighting retrofits for nationwide big box chains as well as in smaller scale specialty retail environments.

“What’s made us so successful with retailers is our ability to understand the unique needs of individual stores and deliver solutions that are done right the first time,” said EMC President and CEO Jerry Johnson. “Lighting must provide that right ‘feel’ customers expect from retail environments—and the faster we provide that optimal solution, the faster the retailer enjoys those bottom line and energy savings.

Along with EMC's renowned turnkey lighting retrofit process, the company offers nationwide coverage for retail lighting and electrical service needs. EMC customizes its service offerings—everything from the frequency of visits to communication and billing—to meet retailers’ specific requirements. In addition, EMC’s service team provides complete warranty management, leveraging its relationships with major manufacturers to maximize retailers’ total cost of ownership.

Lighting solutions begin with EMC’s consultative approach, EnergyMAXX, to understand and prioritize a retailer’s portfolio and identify the lighting systems and equipment best suited to each of its retail outlets. The process then identifies the most financially beneficial sequence of lighting conversions based on geography, energy savings and incentives.

Included on EMC’s client list is Best Buy. As part of its corporate wide efforts to reduce its carbon footprint 20 percent by 2020, Best Buy tasked EMC with completing lighting retrofit projects in more than 800 locations in 2014. Completed months ahead of schedule, the new lighting dramatically reduced energy costs and carbon emissions.

“We’re on track to achieve our goal this coming year, six years early,” explained Alexis Ludwig-Vogen, Best Buy’s director of corporate responsibility and sustainability.
