Energy Management Collaborative (EMC) today introduced the EnergyMAXXSM Tool, a proprietary analytics application for customers that uses their site data and industry product data to help them identify best-in-class solutions and an optimized approach to location prioritization for lighting retrofit projects. The web based tool considers information such as existing lighting conditions, available solutions, project costs, incentive and rebate savings, and utility rates to provide product options while modeling annual cost savings and project payback estimates.

“There’s a lot to think about when contemplating a lighting retrofit—especially if you have a number of facilities spread across several geographies,” said EMC President and CEO Jerry Johnson. “The EnergyMAXX Tool provides fast and meaningful recommendations for where to start and how to maximize savings.”

The application is based on EMC's signature EnergyMAXX Process, which since 2003 the company has used to ensure success in each phase of a lighting installation, from project prioritization to service. This turnkey delivery system provides a predictable, reportable and transparent project management process that ensures all stakeholders are clear on objectives and outcomes.

The new EnergyMAXX Tool helps customers identify “best in class” lighting solutions based on their specific priorities—like payback, lowest initial cost or total cost of ownership (TCO)—while taking into account space attributes that may refine the set of options that will address the needs of each.

The tool also analyzes a number of annual savings and project payback scenarios based on hours of operation, available incentive programs, lighting technology and local energy rates for customers. Customers can then prioritize projects based on this information to maximize their investment.

“The EnergyMAXX Tool provides an unprecedented level of immediate feedback to EMC customers,” said Johnson. “It puts them in control by giving them a clear view of savings opportunities and project potential that may otherwise remain hidden within their property portfolio.”

Attendees of EEI Fall NKAW in Minneapolis next week can receive a live demonstration of the EnergyMAXX Tool at Booth 804.
